Evan Brewer, three, was tortured in videos and photographs which his mother and stepfather recorded before they killed him and encased his body in a slab of concrete, it has been alleged
They were held for breaching a custody order issued months earlier which gave full custody to Evan's father. His mother and Bodine had been ignoring it for months.
His father reported ongoing domestic abuse at the home and a social worker investigated it in May but Miller claimed Evan was out of town with his 'sister'.
By the time he was eventually found, Evan's body was so badly decomposed that it is not clear what kind of injuries he sustained, how or when he died.
The videos discovered by police were time stamped and included abuse in March and May. Evan was last seen alive in July.
In September, his remains were found wrapped in a Ninja Turtles bed sheet, towels and roof tarp.
Bodine and Miller are both awaiting their first court appearance for his murder.
Among the photographs and videos which police found after their arrest is one which allegedly shows his mother spanking his bare buttocks in a bed, shouting at him for moving around.
Another allegedly shows Evan standing naked with a chain around his neck, standing on a piece of cardboard on top of wooden pallets.

In other footage, Bodine can allegedly be heard shouting: 'Here you go tough smart guy. Think you can hear me coming now? Think you are so smart? Bet you you're not.'

In others, Evan appears naked in the same small room as Bodine shouts at him: 'I'm f***** sick of you. You're going to lose everything.'
In addition to the first reference of the photographs, their arrest affidavits also reveal the long timeline of alleged abuse which led up to the discovery of Evan's body.
Evan was last seen alive by his biological father Carlo Brewer in March 2017 when he saw him with what he thought was a broken nose.
When he asked Miller if she had been abusing him or if Bodine had, she lashed out and threatened that he would never see the boy again, he claimed.
He told police about it and they tried to contact Miller and Bodine at their home but there was no answer, it is claimed.
It was not until July that Brewer was awarded full time custody of Evan. That is when police began trying to remove him from the care of Bodine and Miller.
They spent a month pinning notices to their front door to tell them to hand the child over but little more was done.
On August 30, the couple told their landlord they were planning to move out and their neighbor called police.
They were arrested on their way out of the home with a U-Haul truck.
Once in custody, they refused to say where Evan was and the pair were held for breaching the custody order.
It was not until September 2 that Evan's body was discovered when the landlord went into the property the couple had fled to clean it.

'While working in the utility room located at the back of the residence, he attempted to remove a carpet covered platform that had tool boxes stacked on top of it,' the arrest affidavit reads.
'The platform was much heavier than he expected so he removed the tool boxes and pulled off the carpet
'He found that it was a large block of concrete with a wooden lower frame and caster wheels. The block is large enough to encase a child's body.
Evan's father last saw him on March 19 and reported that he had a broken nose. He called police several times between then and September, when his body was finally found, to report abuse but nothing was done to remove Evan from his mother and Bodine's care
'He then drove to a tool store and purchased a sledge hammer to break it open.
He returned to the residence and started hitting the block to break it open because he feared Evan was inside. He struck the block breaking deeper into the concrete and was hit by a rotten odor emanating from it.
'He believed the smell was Evan's body so he stopped and called 911,' it reads.
When the police officer arrived, he told her he was crying while 'he swung the sledge hammer because he feared Evan was inside and that the concrete block reminded him of a tomb.'
Police have not yet been able to determine when or how Evan was killed.
When they searched the home, they found a receipt for concrete, a threaded rod and a concrete trowel. It was dated May 26.
Friends of the couple have since told police that they took and dealt methamphetamines.
One person told police that Bodine allowed men to molest his daughters from a previous relationship in exchange for drugs.
Miller and Bodine were arrested in August as they tried to leave their home. Both refused to tell police where Evan was. Months earlier, the boy's mother told social workers he was with her sister
According to people who sometimes looked after Evan, he was constantly terrified and would flinch at the slightest sound of a raised voice.
He was particularly scared of Bodine, they said, and would sometimes wet himself at home to avoid having to cross paths with him in their home.
According to Bodine's former wife and his daughter, he was abusive, violent and prone to beating children.
They told of how he kept his daughter's head under water on three occasions for so long that she would have to be revived by CPR.
The affidavits also cite inmates who Bodine apparently confessed to once in jail that Evan was dead.
He allegedly told them that he helped his mother get rid of the body at her request.
Bodine and Miller are both due in court for their preliminary hearings on January 11. Both are charged with first degree murder and child abuse.
Evan's father has since hired an attorney and claims the system failed his son. It is not clear yet if he plans to file civil action.
