Discussing the party look with Harper's Bazaar, Dougal said: 'The look is an exciting and unusual one for a royal wedding, and had to go with the feel of the day.
'Much like Eugenie, the look is totally unique, and full of fun. It's a simple party dress with a modern jacket.'
He added: '[T]o imagine a royal bride in a biker jacket celebrating her wedding at Windsor Castle – it's fun and unexpected.'
Eugenie previously wore a blue high-neck dress by Dougal, who previously worked for Alexander McQueen, at Prince Harry and Meghan's wedding at St George's Chapel in May.
Saturday's festivities saw Ellie Goulding performing in front of guests, including Robbie Williams and wife Ayda Fields, as well as Pixie Geldof and heiress Hayley Bloomingdale.

Prince Andrew and Sarah, the Duchess of York, brought in the company who helped plan the Beckhams' reception for the bash.
One source said: 'There will be dodgems and funfair rides, coconut shies, lots of food stalls, loads of cocktails, bloody Marys for the hangovers and a festival vibe'.
Meanwhile, the family's gardener said: 'The setup looks amazing so I'm sure it will be one hell of a party.'
The Queen and the Duke of York have paid for Eugenie and Jack's three wedding parties from their own funds, the Palace has said.
