In Cairo, Egypt, the Archaeologists speculated that they have excavated some parts of a temple of Pharaoh Ramses II, along with an eight-metre-high statue.

Update: During a press conference last night, Egypt’s antiquities minister said that the statue is more likely to be a lesser famous ancient Egyptian ruler.

"We are not going to be categorical, but there is a strong possibility that it's of Psamtek I," antiquities minister Khaled el-Anani said to The Associated Press reporters before the Egyptian museum in Cairo.
