It was one fine day in May of 1954 in Georgetown, Washington, D.C. and future president John F. Kennedy and his wife, Jackie Kennedy, were walking down the street to meet John’s sister-in-law Ethel Kennedy and his brother Bobby Kennedy. Meanwhile, Orlando Suero took some pictures of them as they went about their day.
While they were approaching the park, a man nearby made a whistling noise at Jackie. She was very shy about it but was upset that her husband didn’t do anything. When she asked him about it, John said that he couldn’t “fight every man in America.”
