The Duchess of Sussex may have been sending a subtle hint she is putting her health front and centre, with the help of her jewellery.

Meghan Markle, 37, has favoured turquoise gems on recent appearances, selecting the stunning stone for two of her three public appearances since she gave birth in May.

The royal, who is known for her chic monochrome wardrobe, opted for jewellery with the colourful stone for her appearance at a baseball game in London over the weekend, as well as during Archie's photocall immediately after giving birth.

Heather Askinoise, co-founder of Energy Muse and co-author of Crystal Muse: Everyday Rituals to Tune In to the Real You, told PEOPLE magazine that turquoise is known to be the 'master healer' and 'brings blessings' to those who wear it.

Heather suggested Meghan may be choosing the gemstone as her body heals following Archie's birth.

She said: 'It is a wonderful gemstone to connect with when you want to bring focus to your health.'

The crystal expert added: 'Turquoise is the perfect crystal for a new mothers as it is said to bring blessings to those who wear it.'

Meghan wore the jewels on her first appearance after giving birth to her son, appearing alongside Prince Harry during a photocall at Windsor Castle.

She selected a simple Jennifer Meyer turquoise gemstone necklace and a stunning white dress for the occasion, with a pair of nude Manolo Blahnik BB pumps, and kept the rest of her accessories to a minimum.

The necklace, which features three round turquoise bezel-set drops, is believed to cost $750 (£597).

She had previously worn the necklace just once, to attend the Christmas Day church service at Sandringham while pregnant in 2018.

The royal also opted for a turquoise piece during her appearance on Saturday at a baseball game for the Red Sox and New York Yankees in London.

Despite their delicate nature, her earrings stood out against Meghan's otherwise dark outfit - a little black dress by Stella McCartney.

The short bar studs are handcrafted by Jennifer Meyer in 18-karat yellow gold, Meghan's favourite, and cost $395 (£314).
