Days after he announced he had tested positive for coronavirus, critically acclaimed opera singer and accused sexual harasser Plácido Domingo has been hospitalized in Mexico.
“He is doing well and is responding to treatment,” Domingo’s spokesperson told CNN.
A rep declined comment to the Daily News.
Domingo, 79, announced last weekend that he had tested positive.
“My family and I are all in self isolation for as long as it is deemed medically necessary,” the Spanish singer wrote on Facebook. “Currently we are all in good health but I experienced fever and cough symptoms therefore deciding to get tested and the result came back positive.”

More than 20 women have accused Domingo of sexual harassment.
Domingo resigned from the opera union last week and agreed to donate $500,000 to sexual harassment eradication programs. The American Guild of Musical Artists found that Domingo had “engaged in inappropriate activity, ranging from flirtation to sexual advances, in and outside of the workplace.”
The Los Angeles Opera said investigators ruled the accusations from at least 10 women were “credible,” but “found no evidence Domingo had ever engaged in a quid pro quo or retaliated against any woman by not hiring her at LA Opera."
