The man behind a wildly popular fitness craze from the 1990s is back with a quarantine routine.

Tae-Bo creator Billy Blanks has launched a new workout series called “In the Living Room with Billy Blanks" on YouTube.

The famed fitness guru believe it’s time to get off the couch and “Get up & get active.”

Like millions across the world — who are staying home to flatten the curve of the deadly pandemic known as COVID-19 — Blanks is sad to be “stuck indoors.”

But he’s encouraging people to do something about it to stay in shape.

“Sad that we’re still stuck indoors but makes me smile seeing all of your Tae Bo home workout videos,” the Erie, Pa., native wrote on Instagram Monday. “Let’s continue motivating each other to be the best we can be.”

Developed in the 1970s using the Korean martial arts of taekwondo and boxing, Blanks blended the first letters of both to cultivate Tae-Bo (pronounced TIE-BOE) into a fitness phenomenon in the 1990s that combined into a full body workout.

VHS video tapes were sold in specially priced packages and marketed through infomercials that played ad nauseam on television stations across the nation.

By 1999, sales for the workouts reportedly reached more than $80 million.

Blanks even appeared regularly on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and penned a book published by Random House’s Bantam imprint.

These days, his YouTube channel, has more than 265,000 subscribers. There, he offers free workout routines and some original videos.

Blanks also showed love to medical workers on the front lines in Los Angeles and around the world amid the coronavirus crisis.

“I very much appreciate all the 1st responders putting their lives on the line every day with this virus,” he wrote. “They are the true heroes. God will watch over you and get us through this together.”
