A police officer was allegedly kicked in the face, and another kicked in the groin during a chaotic arrest caught on camera.

The alleged assault is just one of seven attacks on New South Wales police officers within 72 hours.

Another three officers were allegedly attacked during a routine traffic stop in Maitland, in the Hunter Valley on Monday.

Two more officers were injured during an alleged scuffle arresting a man in Paddington in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs on the same day.

The altercation was captured on the main street of Riverwood in Sydney's south-west on Monday afternoon.

One man began filming police after they tried to arrest his brother for riding a motorised scooter on the footpath.

He spends the next two minutes arguing with officers, ignoring multiple requests for him to 'step back' and 'get away'.

Despite warnings they'll arrest him if he doesn't move, he remains where he is and continues arguing.

The uniformed officer then grabs him by the back of the jumper and tells him he's under arrest for hindering police.

But he struggles and tries to fight off the three arresting officers, kicking and punching at them as they wrestle him to the ground.

His friends who are also filming jump in and start to shout at officers for arresting their friend.

The officers eventually restrain him on the ground, as he screams 'I can't breathe'.

Three people were charged with assaulting police over the incident.
