A 24-year-old man is clinging to life in a coma after he was punched out during a Queens street fight and hit his head on the ground, police said Monday.
The victim got into a dispute near 30th Ave. and 38th St. in Astoria about 12:50 p.m. June 19, cops said.
His rival floored him with a punch and ran off east on 30th Ave.
The victim, who lives in Freeport. L.I., hit his head on the pavement and was rushed unconscious to Elmhurst Hospital. He slipped into a coma and remains in critical condition, authorities said.
Cops released surveillance video of the suspect Monday showing him pacing just before the punch was thrown and asked the public’s help identifying him and tracking him down.
The suspect is described as white, in his 30s, about 5-foot-9 and 200 pounds. He was wearing a black shirt, light-colored shorts and white sneakers.
