British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was running meetings on video after testing positive for coronavirus.

Boris Johnson is still running the United Kingdom from his hospital bed, a day after he was admitted for continuing coronavirus symptoms.

The prime minister was hospitalized Sunday night as a “precautionary step” after he tested positive for COVID-19 a week and a half ago.

Johnson had a “comfortable night” at St. Thomas’ hospital, his spokesman said Monday morning, and is in “good spirits.”

It’s unclear what treatment the prime minister is receiving.

“I know for him personally it will be very frustrating that he’s had to go to the hospital to have these tests, and he’ll want to be back in Number 10 leading from the front, which is his way,” housing minister Robert Jenrick said on the BBC’s “Today” Monday.

“But he remains in charge of the government and he will be updated regularly in the hospital, as he has been while he was self-isolating.”

UK foreign minister Dominic Raab, working out of the Foreign Office, not 10 Downing Street, is running the regular morning meetings, Jenrick said.
