Former Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon congratulated Joe Biden after US news outlets declared him winner of the election, while cautioning that Israel must now reconsider its approach to Iran.

"I want to congratulate President-elect Joe Biden on his election victory.

"I would like to thank President Trump for four successful years in office and for his unconditional support for Israel in the international arena. I have no doubt that Israel and the United States will continue to strengthen the bond between the peoples and the nations. We share the same values, the same principles, and also the same enemies," Danon said.

"Israel must now reconsider its approach to the Iranian threat, in light of the new U.S. administration's intention to return to President Obama's nuclear deal. I hope Israel and the United States will stand together against the Iranian race for nuclear weapons," the former ambassador added.
